    Mid week treat

Mid week treat with a friend whilst working in Glasgow. The maitre d' was very efficient, and the atmosphere really nice, staff were pleasant (could possibly have done with fewer pictures of the eponymous owner, rather narcissistic number of photos and no other art). Our steaks, despite being a little more well done than the medium we asked for, were delicious as was the mushroom sauce. Lovely chips and little green salad with yummy merlot dressing. All in all, a lovely evening.

Stylish steakhouse in Glasgow city centre

Named after the larger-than-life chef, and decorated with portraits of Marco, this vibrant, colourful restaurant in the stylish Hotel Indigo on Waterloo Street provides what the chef has called ‘affordable glamour’. It might seem as though Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Glasgow does what it says on the tin but the steakhouse description perhaps doesn’t do full justice to everything on offer here.

Seasonal ingredients, local sourcing

The kitchen at Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Glasgow delivers an appetising menu with many familiar dishes such as the haddock with triple cooked chips and marrowfat peas. There is more of a Mediterranean flavour to dishes such as the gnocchi primavera or the roast rump of lamb a la Dijonnaise. Other choices, like the coq and shrimp curry with fresh mango and ginger or the bacon and cheeseburger, look further afield for inspiration. Of course, pride of place goes to the grill section. Rib eyes, sirloins, fillets and T-bones from Scotch cattle are aged for up to 28 days and served with traditional garnishes and a tempting selection of sauces. A wide ranging wine list and comprehensive cocktail and mocktail list add further to the appeal of the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Glasgow.
