About Meat Bar
Great Value with the 5pm menu
The staff were very friendly, attentitative and quick. The food was delicious and such great value, 2 courses for £15. We paid the supplement for the steak and it was well worth it with a side of bourbon peppercorn sauce to set it off. We would definitely recommend and will be back!
Steaky Mate Date
Once a month, my friend and I choose a restaurant in Glasgow to go for a meal. This was our first time in MEAT and without a doubt will be back. Service was quality, charming staff indeed. The meal was beautiful, the dressing with the haggis bonbons and side salad was to die for. Both courses were very promptly brought. We both had the rump steak for main and although it was slightly rarer than I'd normally take, it tasted so good I forgot about it being more pink that usual. Peppercorn sauce was amazing also. We don't tend to make a point of going back to places as we're wanting to try them all, but in this instance we'll definitely be making a return visit.
Having opened in the summer of 2013, The Meat Bar on Glasgow’s West Regent Street quickly drew acclaim from newspaper critics as well as a strong and enthusiastic clientele. A basement bar and restaurant, The Meat Bar is unashamedly carnivorous although vegetarians won’t go hungry. Stripped back walls and leather booths give it a handsome feel while savoury cocktails such as the Meatojito show a playful side to this fashionable West Regent Street hangout.
