Normally I'm not one to write bad reviews, but I felt very disappointed when I left Lucky 7 after my meal and thought I'd give my two cents..
The male who greeted us from behind the bar was very friendly, smiled and pointed us in the direction of our table, which was a good start. However, the service from the other staff who took over from then on was not very good at all. Not once did someone smile or say please or thank you, and the female seemed more interested in eating snacks just behind our table.
The haggis balls were tasty. However, the whisky sauce had no flavour to it at all. It tasted like warm cream that you would possibly put over profiteroles as a dessert.
The steak I had was nice, but the "delicious, thick onion gravy" was thinner than any gravy i've had, with no onions and tasted like it had red wine in it. The potato was clearly reheated as it had a skin over it and moved about in one piece, and the treacle desert had maybe a dessert spoonful of custard over it, and when we asked for the jug of custard that it states on the menu you get with this dessert, it seemed like we were creating a fuss.
On an busy night I would understand if staff couldn't give you great service, but there was only 2 other tables of people.
It may just be a one off as most other reviews are good, but it has certainly put me off choosing to go here again.
