    A Nice Wee Sunday

Booked in for a Sunday dinner, great offer at 2 courses plus small wine for £8. Food was very good, good sized portions and quick service. Good selection of beers and wines as well.

    Vive la liberte

The food was good and had a decent choice , the only downside was the plates weren't large enough for the meal , tricky to cut up and keep on plate and the food would have stayed warmer if the plates had been heated. (We did mention to server) . Staff were attentive and the surroundings were beautifully decorated . Felt it was a shame that the place wasn't busy .

Scottish American bar in Glasgow city centre

Located in Glasgow’s Charing Cross, Liberté is the sister of Yesbar on Drury Street. It is a relaxed hangout with lots of candles and flatteringly subdued lighting. DJs play at the weekend and a funky, soulful vibe reigns supreme the rest of the week. The outdoor decking area at the rear is a sun trap on a summer day. Much like the pavement seating at the front of the bar, it is an excellent space for a laid back lunch or a chilled glass of wine. American craft beers, French wine and Scottish gin all help give Liberté a little ooh la la!

Burgers, buffalo wings and haggis bon bons

The menu at Liberté dances from Scotland to the United States with the occasional diversion to France. Burgers, sliders and build your own burgers are prominent along with pots of mussels cooked in several sauces. There are sharing boards, salads and flexible small plates offering buffalo wings, haggis bon bons and nachos. As well as French classics such as boeuf Bourguignon and bouillabaisse, there is a range of comfort food dishes like fish ‘n’ chips, chilli and roast chicken. Desserts include the infamous deep fried Mars bar.

Central location

Liberté is on North Street, a five minute walk from Charing Cross rail station. It is also close to many bus routes and a five minute walk from a Sauchiehall Street taxi rank. There is some on-street parking. The King’s Theatre and the O2 ABC are a ten minute walk.
