The restaurant was a haven of tranquility (that means not busy!) with friendly, knowlegable and attentive staff. The decor is beautiful and the seating discretely placed to afford space! The use of coat-hooks on the wall next to your table is novel. The food was well-paced, nicely presented and very delicious. We opted for mains & sweets; I had supreme of chicken, toulouse sausage and bean stew while my wife thought her grilled pork loin with leaks, mash and peppercorn sauce was excellent. We both had a bitter orange frangepan tart with peach sorbet, yummy! She finished off with a complimentary black coffee and we shared a lovely bottle of white wine (£21!). The food & coffee was exceptional value at £20 for the 2 of us. Only minor gripe was the bread rolls were a bit 'hard' and that you had work your way through painter/decorators & carpet-fitters when you went to the toilet. Highly recommended restaurant 5/5!
