Booked a table for 630pm however we weren't seated until 705pm as they were busy so beware if you're booking before a show etc! We received our starters which were lovely however the evening took a bit of a bad turn when a large group of rude customers began rearranging the restaurant so they could sit together without consulting staff. We also weren't given any cutlery but saw this as a challenge rather than an obstacle as we were having bruschetta so we thought we would get some with our mains.
We then waited over an hour for our mains, mine came out and was very burnt and my friend never received hers. Now I'm not one of these customers who moans about everything and anything to the staff but after waiting 15mins and no sign of my friends food, we spoke with the manager to check it was on its way. He wasn't really interested though but said he would sort it out. 10mins later a waiter came over to double check our order and it was a further 10mins before we received more food. We asked for cutlery and were given a knife and fork which were dirty. My burger was fine however my friends chicken was stone cold. We spoke to our waitress Lauren who was very apologetic and looked embarrassed and she said she would get the manager again. The manager offered us a new main course which we politely declined.
There was no offer of an explanation as to why the service was going a rye and no sincere apology made. It would appear the waiting staff were deliberately avoiding the area we were seated due to the large group who were sat next to us, who were very rude to staff whenever they had to go anywhere near them. I have been previously a few times and it wasn't this bad so while the service wasn't great I would possibly go back to see if this was a one off bad experience.
