Anticipation of a great 'Southern' experience soon fizzled out, it only existed in the name of the venue. That said, as long as you're not expecting that then it was a great meal. The seating area is small and intimate with fabulous views out to the Clyde on one side and over the balcony to the casino floor on the other. The tables are not squashed together and the place exceptionally clean.
Service was faultless and our waiter, Ignacios, was superb.
Portion size was far from the big American sized portions but well presented and very tasty. If any fault on the food itself was that the slowed cooked Angus, although no knife needed, still needed a little chewing, not necessary that it was chef's problem but more than the quality of meat in this country.
Music could have been a little quieter and would have been better suited more to the 'theme' of the venue, i.e., jazz, blues, bluegrass, etc.
Take away the expectation suggested by it's name and you'll have a terrific meal.
