Rating Terrible service (Rating 2.0/5)
I have been to a few different Di Maggio's before but the service in Royal Exchange Sq was by far the worst I've had in a restaurant.
Our starters were served pretty quickly and were tasty. The main courses however, came an hour later! Our waiter was quite rude and quite frankly kept avoiding all eye contact with me. He never once came to advise us that our meals were running late, he just kept avoiding our table. It was busy but others who were seated after us were getting their meals way ahead of us. I eventually managed to flag another waiter down who must have informed a manager, as soon after the manager came to apologise and offer us some free soft drinks. When our meals eventually arrived, they were hot and well cooked, however we will not be visiting this restaurant ever again. There is no excuse for bad service and our waiter explaining and apologising earlier on would have made all the difference. Although I had bought a 5pm voucher, we were still another £20 for soft drinks which was a little excessive given that were left waiting such a long time.
