City Cafe Bar & Grill Reviews

  • Nice location (Rating 2.8/5)
Good deal £12 for 2 courses but main course the battered fish was very greasy so didn't eat the batter but not much fish either. But the waiter comped our tea/coffee so a plus.

  • City Cafe (Rating 4.2/5)
Went to the City Cafe before going to SECC. The food was lovely, freshly cooked but not a lot of it! I ordered the chicken with parmentier potatoes (consisted of 5 little squares!) Dining partner had the fish and chips and loved it (I had to share his chips as I was still hungry!) Only good value as it was 2 for 1 on main courses. Drinks bill fairly shot the final bill price up too. Would go back but only on 5 pm offer and if needing somewhere to go before visiting SECC. One other good thing was the views out onto the terrace and the Squinty Bridge and all the new flats along the banks of the Clyde. Lovely to see, even as a Glasgow resident.

  • Lovely Food, shame the Restaurant didn't know their deal offer (Rating 3.4/5)
Experience from start to when the bill appeared was great. Everyone's food was delicious and reasonable quantity. Unfortunately I was left feeling like I was a con! They did not have note of what the offer was as per my booking I was asked by two different staff members for vouchers, which I obviously did not have, I had to eventually show them my confirmation booking email to show them the deal prior to them amending the bill.
