Small but cozy restaurant, the food was excellent and we'll presented. I highly recommend the hoisin duck rolls, we actually ordered more of these because they were so good. Highly recommend this to any sushi lovers.

Contemporary sushi restaurant in city centre

Central Sushi is a stylish Japanese sushi restaurant on Renfield Street. Opened in early 2016, it has a stripped back, contemporary look with different textures of reclaimed wood lining the walls. Diners can sit at the counter and watch the chefs at work and there is also a mezzanine area.

Sushi, sashimi and Japanese favourites

From octopus nigiri to tuna temaki rolls, Central Sushi offers a wide range of freshly made sushi along with a sashimi selection that includes scallops, cuttlefish and salmon. The kitchen also offers a number of popular Japanese classics. There are several ramen dishes on the menu, all with a choice of different noodles.

The crispy tempura can be ordered as veggie, rock shrimp, king prawn or shitake and there is a selection of salads such as crispy duck or crab meat and avocado. Diners are welcome to try well known dishes like the chicken dumplings or vegetable fried rice. More adventurous palates might want to explore options such as the grilled salmon head, eel sushi or soft shell crab.
