I have been a few times in Cafe Source @ St Andrews in the Square and loved the food. Loving the new decor and booths very stylish and relaxed vibe. The staff are very attentive and comfortable to chat away while doing their job very efficiently.
Starters: My wife enjoyed her Cullen Skink, mum loved her beef broth. I had the haggis fritter with salad which the batter was nice and crispy.
Main: We all had the Daube of beef which was mouth watering as it slow cooked and braised. If you like your meat tender this is the choice for you. I did ask our waiter (Owen) what he could recommend. I am glad he told us that this was one of their top dishes for customers, I can see why.
Dessert: I had the cheesecake which tasted as good as it was presented. My wife had the creme brûlée and enjoyed it.
The house wine was very nice and we received a free small glass with our deal. Great value as for 3 people - two 3 courses and one 2 course and one extra glass of wine = £55 before tip. If you have never been and you have a fussy relative or friend that only likes Scottish food, this is the place to go. Well Done to all @ Cafe Source, keep up the great work!
