I've reviewed this twice before, generally favourably but with a few reservations about the food. This time round, the food was perfectly cooked - I had the special, bream, and my partner had hake: both fresh, tasty and excellent. We both had the ginger cheesecake for dessert and it was delicious. The service could not be faulted, and the value for money on the 5pm pre-theatre food was superb. HOWEVER - and, for me, this is a BIG however, the wines, all priced around £22 a bottle, are not good value if the Tempranillo we sampled was anything to go by. Too young, no depth, cheapo screwtop - frankly, something I'd expect to pay around £4 for in a supermarket. Buck up your winelist, Café Rogano, this is a rip-off! The only black spot in an otherwise perfect meal and therefore all the more obvious!
