first visit to the pony. decor is modern and comfy. staff were friendly and attentive. the menu choice is good, lots of favourites - burgers, pastas, pizza, and a few seafood dishes if you like that kind of thing. to start, the mushroom risotto was delicious, and the portion size just right. the fritto misto ( chicken) was a disappointment - plenty of chicken, but no dipping sauce or dressing. it was pretty bland on its own. the mains were a mixed bag - the chargrilled chicken with potato was delicious, and the chicken done to a turn. the chicken ceasar salad had anchovies all over it (no mention on the menu of the anchovies) and the anchovie brine was all over the plate. this meant the salad was sitting in pools of fishy water, which was not nice. overall, the value for money on the 5pm was good, the venue and staff very pleasant, and the food just ok.
