I found Barolo Grill fairly standard - nothing special. Stick to the pizza! We arrived a half hour early for our table and said we would have a drink outside, "No problem, take a seat and I'll get someone to take an order from you". 15 minutes later we went in to ask for a waiter who came out a few minutes later and took a drinks order which arrived 10 minutes later just as our table was ready! Not a great start but it was nice being able to sit outside and people watch. We were not given the 5pm offer menu but they seemed so busy we decided just to order from the a la carte. The foccacia we ordered was an inch thick - I prefer it thiner based but nonetheless it was very tasty. My prawn limoncello starter was fresh and flavoursome, the prawns were well cooked but the accompanying bread appeared to have been freshly toasted that morning, so glad we had the focaccia left. My Barolo salad main was huge. As salads go it was OK - the dressing being a little bland. Again the accompanying bread was from the same toasted stale basket as before. No pudding, despite being offered a freebie as my partner ordered the Italian sausage he didn't like - not the restaurant's fault! The service at the table was very good so vastly improved from our arrival.
