Located in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City, Arta is truly spectacular. The main bar will fill you with a sense of antique Mediterranean elegance and splendour, with its enormous standing candelabras and staircases worthy of a castle. The restaurant is a contemporary delight. Long and low with an arched ceiling, open plan dining is enjoyed in an atmosphere of well-heeled chic. If its privacy you want you will have the option to tailor your own menu and the staff will be happy to offer you one of four rooms, each unique and designed to impress. With a notable selection of rather special pastas and pizzas in addition to a well chosen selection of Mediterranean mains (spicy merguez sausages, Moroccan spiced lamb and beautifully presented tapas) the menu is satisfyingly broad. Making a night of it couldn’t be easier, with DJ’s and live music on Friday and Saturday in Arta’s club rooms.
