Antipasti (City Centre) Review

  • Rating Good food, poor crockery (Rating 3.6/5)
We arrived slightly early but were easily accommodated, unfortunately it was near the front entrance and the evening was cold and wet. The restaurant was busy and every time someone entered or left then a cold draught was blown in to the restaurant. There were 2 adults and 2 children in the party and we had booked the Celebration Menu. The servers offered to change items on the menu if they did not suit which I thought was very good. We had bruschetta, minestrone soup and mussels as starters and all were very good. This was followed by lamb, calzone and lobster ravioli, again all very good. For desserts we had chocolate fudge cake and cheesecake, again all very good and fair portions. One criticism would be that a lot of the crockery and cups were chipped and really need replacing. I would definitely go back if I knew they had replaced the damaged crockery.
