Rating Too hot to handle. (Rating 3.8/5)
Pleasant evening, had the celebration menu and although the lamb & monkfish were nice, the winner was the calzone. House wine pleasant enough but nothing exceptional. However the restaurant was far too warm. We were sitting upstairs & on a hot summer night (queue for a Meatloaf song) they really need air conditioning. The water was room temperature (not pleasant) & the wine somewhere between that and cold. Did ask for ice & received a small glass which quickly melted. Sitting downstairs might have been a better option as there might have been a cooling draught so I would recommend this on a warm evening. This did spoil the evening for us & we were glad to get outside to cool down. As said pleasant evening but unlikely to return.
