Booked as I was spending a quality day with my husband. Initially I was disappointed as we were sat in a corner 1 foot away from the next table. Table was small. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive to our requirements. She quickly offered us another table just as soon as one was available. The second table was so much better and we were quick to relax and enjoy our fabulous first course of scallops in salty ham - cooked to perfection and wonderful to taste. I have been here before and I must say I've never had minestrone soup like it - it had such a depth of taste - my partner who doesn't like "normal every day minestrone" thought it was delicious. The main course did not disappoint - I had the portichinni risotto and my partner had a lovely pasta dish. it was busy for a Thursday lunch, however I suppose it's to be expected now the run up to Summer. Was a little upset that when we paid cash, the waiter didn't bring our change. We were going to leave it towards a tip anyway, however this shouldn't be taken for granted. It was only £3 and we would have added to it. However by doing that it saved us some money. That was the only thing that disappointed us. That and the original table. I would however go back that is a definite!
