29 - The Grill At The Square Review

  • Rating Dissapointed (Rating 2.6/5)
Unfortunately, the food this time wasn't good. Not sure if they are cutting back on the quality of their produce to meet demands of the cheaper menu on offer(£29 for 2 courses plus wine). Starters were fine, we paid supplement for prawn cocktail which was the best food of the evening. I was told the dish of the day was salmon ravioli in cream sauce, which I ordered, however it turned out to be 3 pasta parcels filled with smoked salmon - which I don't like and wouldn't have ordered had I known the fish was smoked. We paid another supplement for the burger seriously(?) which wasn't the best and my side salad had a very cheesy dressing (which was horrible when u don't eat/like cheese). Told the waiter the salad was very cheesy, his retort after speaking in the kitchen was "yeah, it's got cheese in it"! And seceded charged for it regardless!! Really dissapointed, we won't be going back unfortunately, it used to be a lovely restaurant.
