29 - The Grill At The Square Review

  • Rating Great pre-theatre meal (Rating 4.8/5)
Lovely relaxed meal in lovely surroundings. Pre-theatre 2 course £16.50, the prawn cocktail was the best I've tasted, full of small prawns topped with a king prawn. The mushroom risotto was very nice to. Very satisfying meal without making you feel bloated. Everyone with me also thourghly enjoyed their meal. The free fresh baked bread/butter was a nice touch. Service was attentive and not over-baring, food served promptly with no overly long periods between courses. Very busy on the night we attended. The sleazy sax music in the background was the only negative for me but that's only because I despise that genre of music. The music wasn't that loud it's just that I'm very attentive. I would say I'm pretty common, harvester is posh to me! (Ha ha) I never at anytime felt uncomfortable like you would in other places. I would definitely return to the grill on the square.
