Contemporary Scottish and French restaurant in Bearsden
Café Latour is a modern restaurant and café on New Kirk Road at Bearsden Cross. A welcoming, neighbourhood restaurant, the chefs provide a contemporary take on Scottish and French dishes. Open for scones, pastries and coffee in the mornings, through lunch to dinner, Café Latour offers several menus, including a children’s menu. Whether you want a set price lunch or a three course à la carte dinner with friends and family, Café Latour is happy to help.
Great produce, cooked with care
Using the very best seasonal ingredients, the kitchen team create carefully thought through menus which change on a monthly basis. Classic French dishes might be the slow-cooked pavé of beef with pancetta, pearl onions, red wine and creamy mash or the free range chicken breast with dauphinoise and a creamy mushroom sauce. Taking their cue from further afield are options like the seafood casserole of salmon, sea bass, scallops and king prawns in a light curry and coconut broth.
There is always a selection of steaks. Reared on Scottish farms, grass-fed and 28 day-aged, they are served with garlic butter, hand-cut chips, grilled vine tomato and a field mushroom. Interesting French and New World wines both feature on the wine list.
