French and Scottish cuisine in nostalgic setting
The Doll’s House is a friendly French Scottish restaurant on Church Square in St Andrews. As well as outside tables for those warmer days, The Doll’s House has three dining rooms over two levels. Childhood memorabilia and a pleasant, pastel colour scheme make for a cosy and relaxing ambience. The Doll’s House welcomes everyone from golfers and tourists to ladies who lunch, students and, especially, families.
Fresh, seasonal ingredients
Locally sourced, seasonal and fresh ingredients are the focus for the kitchen at The Doll’s House. The menus feature lots of delicious Scottish and French dishes.
Popular dishes include the Highland game Bourguignon, grilled sea bream with a ratatouille cous cous and a frittata flavoured with Dunsyre Blue cheese and mushrooms. Fish dishes such as poached salmon and mackerel on spiced Puy lentils vie for the attention with hearty meat options like the Scottish sirloin steak served with dauphinoise potatoes, shallots, mush rooms and a Bordelaise sauce.
Among other options, the Junior menu offers penne pasta in a creamy sauce, pan-roasted chicken supreme and smoked haddock and spring onion fishcakes.
St Andrews parking and attractions
Located on the pedestrianised Church Square, The Doll’s House is next to St Andrews’ library and Holy Trinity Church. There is metered parking on the surrounding streets. Pay car parks can be found at St Mary’s place, Argyle Street and on Bruce Embankment.
