Chic French brasserie in Edinburgh city centre
The Galvin Brasserie de Luxe blends classic French brasserie dishes and local seasonal specialities, especially seafood. It is led by Chris and Jeff Galvin, holders of multiple culinary awards including Michelin stars. Acclaimed Scottish chef Craig Sandle oversees the kitchens.
A large oval bar with a seafood counter forms the centrepiece of the brasserie and signature dishes include the lasagne of Berwick crab with beurre Nantaise, duck confit, boudin noir with red wine sauce and tarte tatin aux pommes.
Daily specials, set menus, the crustacean selection and, of course, immaculate service are all part of the appeal.
