About Kampung Ali
A firm favourite
We love coming to kampung Ali for special occasions or just for a yummy meal out. Last night we had a really lovely meal as usual with the chef fantastically making my 4 year old her favourite (not on menu) and my partner and I having usual favourite's as well as trying a new dish. Staff and food are always lovely so thank you again for a very pleasant evening :)
Meal at Kampun Ali
The service was good, Starters were nice, we had a singaporean noodle and roast duck soup with upon noodles. The portions were quite small, and the duck dish was poorly presented, with pieces of duck, a few noodles and 2 small pieces of pak choi, Quite disappointing.
Inviting Malaysian restaurant in Fountainbridge
Kampung Ali, with its wooden tables and vibrant city skyline décor, is an elegant variation on its sister establishment on the Southside. Authentic Malaysian cuisine is the secret of its popularity, with dishes created by Peter Lee, the latest in a long family line of innovative chefs.
South-east Asian specialities
There is an extensive menu featuring familiar laksas and stir fries alongside some exotic Kampung specialities including mild barbecue Jiang Nan chicken, Hakka pork with black fungus, and slow-cooked beef rendang, a Malaysian dry curry. The popular Big Bowls are deeply-flavoured, substantial noodle soup dishes with a choice of seafood, sea bass, beef belly or char siu.
Drinks options include beers, wines, Malaysian soft drinks and pearl milk teas. There are plentiful choices for vegetarians, including various tofu dishes.
