About Field Grill House
Contemporary Scottish grill with a sense of style
Field Grill House, located in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh, is a stylish contemporary take on the grill house. Pale wood and pastel décor create a welcoming space, with playful Damien Hirst-style prints. Bookings are essential for this buzzing addition to the Edinburgh culinary scene. The restaurant is closed Mondays.
Seasonal produce with a Scottish accent
Chef Gordon Craig leads the innovative team at the Field Grill House. Seasonal Scottish ingredients are the key to the menu, which showcases the best of Scotland’s natural larder. The menu changes regularly, but typical creations include starters of beetroot cured salmon with mint crème fraiche, beetroot, pickled cucumber and crispy crab ball; or pan-fried scallops with satay sauce, black pudding and pomegranate. Mains might include chorizo-crusted cod with Parmesan mash, chilli jam and chorizo and tomato compote; maple and five spice Gressingham duck breast with sweet potato, vegetable spring roll, cashews and plum sauce; and a variety of steaks including 60 day aged sirloin.
Recent dessert creations have included pistachio and cherry panna cotta and a Baileys parfait with salted caramel ice cream and Scottish berries.
The restaurant also offers a menu du jour set lunch.
