Great wee Italian with a fab menu

Our first visit here and we weren't disappointed we were given them option of sitting downstairs or upstairs usually other places just plonk you anywhere, we weee advised that anything on the menu was part of our 2 course for £10.95 along with the special offers they had on beer and cocktails We had minestrone soup and haggis frittis to start great portion size the soup was delicious as were the haggis frittis We chose spaghetti & meatballs and a Texas Holden burger for our mains with garlic bread topped with mozzarella, again great portion sizes and the sauce for the meatballs was delicious, I couldn't finish it all so our lovely waitress boxed it up for me to take home which was scoffed on the couch in front of the telly. We noticed other diners had there pizzas boxed to take away too. Such a great idea I love it!! We our bill including 3 bottles of beer and a cocktail came to £32.50 Highly recommend trying here we will most certainly be back I must try those pizzas

Contemporary pizza restaurant in Old Town

Opened in late 2015, Tutto Matto is a funky, modern Italian restaurant on Nicolson Street. Handy for the Festival Theatre, it has a contemporary rustic interior fitted out with wood block features and decorative pizza oven paddles. The open plan kitchens provide their own fast moving theatre.

Clay oven-baked pizza and more

Tutto Matto offers 22 varieties of pizza. Baked on a stone base oven at 500 degrees centigrade, the dough is hand-stretched and the sauces are made from the finest San Marzano tomatoes and topped with fior de latte mozzarella.

The pizza range from simple Italian classics such as the Margheritas and pepperoni options. There are several Italian regional specialities such as the Amalfi – topped with creamy white pizza sauce, scampi, squid, crab, Atlantic prawns and mozzarella.

As well as Edinburgh and Glasgow pizzas, there are global flavours at play with New York, Peking and Marrakech among the locations which have lent their names to the pizza here. While pizza are at the heart of the menu, Tutto Matto also offers a considerable range of pastas, salads, nibbles, deli platters and sides.
