This was a meal for 2 with wine for £29 offer. The menu was small but with a varied choice. We had a bottle of the house Merlot which was good. My wife had prawn cocktail to start and I had chicken liver parfait. Both were very good. I then had smoked haddock fishcake on a bed of leeks while my wife had Dijon chicken with kale and we shared a side of new potatoes (£3.50 extra) both meals were well presented, perfectly cooked and very tasty. To finish my wife had chocolate pave while I had cinnamon biengnets (like small doughnut balls), again both very good, followed by coffee. theres was a cosy ambience and service was first class.
