We had been here a few years ago when it was the Point Bistro, or some such. The problem they had then and have now is that the restaurant is in a huge space (would make a great Belgian gastro pub) and often gets filled up with mega-noisy tour groups, which echo in the bare room, nice as it is. This is what happened on our visit, although they did provide some side entertainment.
Mushroom Soup was incredibly thick, but the Black Pudding Terrine was nice, although luke warm. My Prawn Caesar Salad suffered from being sunk in a sea of Garlic Mayonnaise, with rock hard Croutons. My wife's Fillet Steak was, however, rather good and cooked to the correct state. Shame the jenga chips were undercooked.
