Intimate European restaurant in Stockbridge
The Stockbridge Restaurant is a cosy, family-run eatery on St. Stephens Street providing exceptional food and service with none of the pretension. Located beneath street level, the restaurant is quite unlike any other in part due to its charming decor which is reminiscent of a fairytale cavern. As the name suggests, the venue can be found in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh and serves creative European dishes made with fresh, seasonal produce.
Fine dining with a friendly ambience
As the seasons change so do the menus at The Stockbridge Restaurant, yet dedicated head chef and proprietor Jason consistently delivers dishes that are decadent yet down-to-earth. An example of some culinary creations that may be on offer include the seared scallops with butternut squash puree, apple salsa and Parma ham; roasted grouse with toasted brioche, liver pate, game chips and watercress or the seared sea bass with sauteed heritage potatoes, roasted beetroot, chorizo, crispy squid and aioli.
Diners with room for dessert may find themselves attempting to decide between a banana tart tatin with butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream or a chocolate brulee with chocolate brownie, white chocolate mousse and milk chocolate ice cream. The restaurant also has a selection of hand-picked wines and beverages to complement your meal.
