This is my favourite restaurant in Edinburgh, until last night. I was disappointed on this visit. My black pudding salad was two slices of nicely cooked black pudding with salad leaves on top. Maybe olive oil dressing? My lamb meatballs were nice, but were just that with little cubes of potato and gravy. No veg. I know this restaurant has changed hands and I enjoyed my meal, but for the first time in eating there I thought I could have done better myself. I go to a restuarant for tasty food I can't cook myself, so it would be nice if the menu could revert to some degree of sophistication.
