    Fabulous Brunch

Kicked off with a delicious Bloody Mary followed by exquisite starter and main. Real fine dining experience for an extremely reasonable set price. I will be back here again soon!

Scottish bistro in Leith

Along with its sister restaurant in the West End, A Room in Leith offers Scottish bistro dishes at affordable prices. Informal and friendly, the Leith restaurant sits by the waterside on Dock Place. During the warmer months, visitors can enjoy pre-dinner drinks on the outside terrace at the adjacent Teuchters’ Bar, which is owned by the same team.

Fresh, local ingredients

From Shetland scallops to Borders beef and Stornoway black pudding, Scottish ingredients take pride of place on the menus at A Room in Leith. The seafood, meat and veggie sharing platters are always popular as are the pots of Scottish mussels which are available with a selection of sauces including Dunsyre blue cream, white wine and bacon bits. The menus change regularly but typical main courses might be the seared sea bream with king scallops, pea and spinach purée plus tattie fritters or the lamb rump served with samphire, potatoes, broad beans and a redcurrant and port sauce. When in season, Scottish game features prominently and the Scottish cheeseboard is well worth in-depth investigation.
