First visit in a while, with a friend who'd never been before. There was quite a wait for the food, but the bread kept us going till it arrived. My friend was very impressed with her chicken & prawn fried rice, and, in particular the banana mousse with rum, and I enjoyed my spicy meatballs with flatbread and chilled rice pidding with pistachios & almonds. The 5pm lunch deal includes excellent coffee (which I had to ask the waiter to remove from our bill), so the price per head works out at under £13 for 2 courses and a glass of wine. By the way, the restaurant now has a loyalty card scheme for lunchtimes (3 visits entitle you to a free coffee, 9 to a free lunch). Despite a few minor blips, this is still one of my favourite places to eat in Edinburgh.
