Contemporary British Corstorphine restaurant
Westview Restaurant is within Capital Hotel on Clermiston Road in Edinburgh’s West End and serves a mix of British and European dishes. Benefiting from its elevated position on top of Corstorphine Hill, the Westview Restaurant looks out on to both the Pentland Hills and the Firth of Forth. Situated in a quiet suburb of the capital, it is close to the airport but only a short ride into the city centre which makes it popular with business travellers, tourists and local residents alike.
Local, seasonal produce & wholesome dishes
With an enviable supply of fresh ingredients from Scotland’s natural larder, the menu at Westview Restaurant changes with the seasons but continues to offer a diverse range of items to cater to all tastes. Grill dishes are quite popular, in particular the Shetland salmon steak with parsley mash, creamed sprouts and butternut as well as the choice of 8oz steak cuts served with tomato, field mushrooms, onion rings and house fries.
Other menu choices that may be on offer include the smoked Rannoch duck breast with a crisp quail’s egg, pomegranate jelly and honey walnuts; the slow cooked Ayrshire pork belly with creamed Savoy, garlic mash and haggis dauphine; and the beetroot and caramelised red onion risotto with herbed crowdie and beetroot crisps.
