Afternoon tea & small platters in Edinburgh city centre

Serving all day, Peacock Alley offers traditional breakfasts, a variety of afternoon teas and a charming array of classic sandwiches, warming soups, inventive salads and tempting bites such as figs wrapped in Serrano ham, beef teriyaki skewers and crab blinis.

The traditional Caley Afternoon Tea offers a selection of tasty finger sandwiches, scones and freshly-baked cakes. There is also a wide range of speciality teas available along with many fine wines and cocktails. For a real treat, try the seasonal afternoon teas which feature exclusive cocktails and cake creations. Not to be left out, younger guests can enjoy the Children’s Afternoon Tea which is served with ice tea or a babycino.

New York style decor

Formerly the station concourse, Peacock Alley is the historic heart of the Caley, and reflects the timeless sophistication of this former railway hotel. Recalling the glamour of the former Caledonian and the Waldorf Astoria New York, on which it is modelled, Peacock Alley is a chic spot for a memorable afternoon tea or cosmopolitan evening drinks.

Princes Street location

Peacock Alley is in an ideal location on Princes Street in Edinburgh’s city centre, next to Princes Street Gardens and in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle. It is within walking distance of George Street’s boutique shopping and is approximately a 15 minute stroll from both Haymarket and Waverley Train Stations.
