Although we had made an early booking for 12 pm lunch and arrived at 11.45 am, we had to wait 1 hour for our food. After placing the food & drink order we were told, by our waitress, to flick the wall switch in our booth to order any further drinks from the bar, which we did but after waiting a further 20 mins with no sign of attention from the bar staff & indeed no sign of any food from the restaurant we realised this was not the case. The food did eventually arrive 1 hour later at 12.45pm and we did then order our second drink from our designated waitress. A pity the food wasn't exactly what we ordered (chips instead of mash with the steak pie), however we were glad to see food and accepted this as we didn't want to waste any more time. Our way of thinking is if you are pushed for time, plan ahead and book in advance, surely a restaurant should realise that - I realise it was a rugby day but that was the whole point of us booking ahead - should the restaurant not plan ahead too and be in a position to service their bookings in an efficient manner?
