Made to feel welcome
booked this for a birthday celebration and the staff were very accommodating to everyone's needs. Many in the party commented on what a lovely place and that they liked their food. This is the second third time I've been there and never been let down.

Inviting city centre restaurant by theatre district
Scotland’s larder is at the heart of Bread Street Brasserie, part of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Edinburgh City Centre. Within easy walking distance of the West End and the Old Town, the restaurant is popular for working lunches, romantic dinners, family get-togethers and pre-theatre meals. The dining room is a light-filled, elegant space with eye-catching furniture and the atmosphere is as welcoming as it is relaxed.
Flexible menu with free-from options
Local suppliers and produce such as Buffalo Farm beef steaks take pride of place at Bread Street Brasserie while the kitchen takes creative inspiration from Scottish and classic European cooking. Popular items on the menu include the Innis & Gunn beer-battered fish ‘n’ chips, the haggis, neeps ‘n’ tatties and the chicken with pancetta, olives, basil, crushed potatoes, mozzarella and tomato pesto.
The kitchen is particularly skilled at catering for dietary preferences and every menu item is clearly labelled. Some of the a la carte dishes can be altered to suit vegan diets and there is also a very popular, monthly vegan evening on the first Wednesday of every month.
