  Went for second time in a week. Ate the same menu, but the quality varied. The Ham Hough Terrine was brilliant last time - and even BETTER this time, complete with a garnish of picalilie. However, the portion of salmon was smaller. and there was no complementary bread this time. The roast potato side dish was marred by 'cold spots' (where the defrost had not been totally effective?). Still great value!

  Amazing value and cuisine of the highest standard. We always add at least one side dish per booking and these are also of the highest standard.

  fully enjoyed the meal at Agua, the food and service where excellent, lovely seating area as you go in where you can get a drink and watch the world go by in the Grassmarket before you have your meal. We choose to have the fixed price 3 course menu with a small glass of wine for £30 per couple really good value, would defo go there again.

• fantastic meal, lovely restaurant (Rating 4.6/5)

  My boyfriend and I enjoyed the Valentines deal of 5 courses for £25. It was quite quiet when we arrived but that meant that service was quick and we were well looked after. I expected small portions given the fixed menu but everything was just perfect, from the chef's welcome canopy right through to dessert. My boyfriend had a beer with dinner but I was on the virgin cocktails so the total bill came to less than £60. However, having looked at the drinks menu, prices didn't seem to be any more than you would expect, particularly for a restaurant offering such a good deal on food. Overall there is nothing I could fault about the service or food. Would definitely recommend it and would happily go back again

  Food was great and staff were always checking that we were alright and if we needed anything just to call them.
