Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea has swung right back into fashion over the last few years with everyone from the grandest hotels to the coolest bars reviving the afternoon tea tradition. You can use 5pm Dining to find, browse and book venues that offer afternoon tea in your area.

In Glasgow, traditional tea rooms like Cup, Cranachan and The Tearooms at The Butterfly and the Pig serve up delectable cup cakes and scones, while trendy bars like Lucky 7 on Glasgow's Bath Street and Wild Cabaret are putting a funky new spin on afternoon tea and cocktails or fizz. In Edinburgh, hotels such as the Waldorf Astoria and One Square in the Sheraton ensure that the custom of taking afternoon tea is in no danger of dying out in the capital.

Book afternoon tea online

5pm's easy to use service allows you to browse afternoon tea menus, book a table and an offer, all done from the comfort of your home. Our online offers also mean that you can bag a deal on afternoon tea in Glasgow and Edinburgh or elsewhere in Scotland.

First time trying this venue and decided to opt for the Afternoon Tea. This is served in the'Great Hall', not the Cristal Restaurant. Mar Hall is in a lovely setting and has very pleasant and helpful staff. Food was good, but for the cost (£35 for 2 people) I would have expected some savouries as

We had a pleasant afternoon tea however service was incredibly slow and twice we had to go to the bar to ask for more coffee and for the bill. Despite this we had an enjoyable afternoon and very much enjoyed the scones which were delicious.

I visited the Cranachan for afternoon tea with a couple of friends for my birthday. I booked the deal online with 5pm which meant that we could upgrade to prosecco afternoon tea for only £1 more instead of £4. The afternoon tea itself was lovely, lots of food and lovely cakes and they were very

Nice restaurant, good service, the food was not bad although the cakes weren't of a great standard would have preferred to know what the cakes were before biting in to them. Good atmosphere as nearly every table was filled.
