Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea has swung right back into fashion over the last few years with everyone from the grandest hotels to the coolest bars reviving the afternoon tea tradition. You can use 5pm Dining to find, browse and book venues that offer afternoon tea in your area.

In Glasgow, traditional tea rooms like Cup, Cranachan and The Tearooms at The Butterfly and the Pig serve up delectable cup cakes and scones, while trendy bars like Lucky 7 on Glasgow's Bath Street and Wild Cabaret are putting a funky new spin on afternoon tea and cocktails or fizz. In Edinburgh, hotels such as the Waldorf Astoria and One Square in the Sheraton ensure that the custom of taking afternoon tea is in no danger of dying out in the capital.

Book afternoon tea online

5pm's easy to use service allows you to browse afternoon tea menus, book a table and an offer, all done from the comfort of your home. Our online offers also mean that you can bag a deal on afternoon tea in Glasgow and Edinburgh or elsewhere in Scotland.

Excellent afternoon tea.Very nice restaurant with great views over the city.

Books this a birthday treat, the menu was hard to work out. Once explained we only had choice 1 sandwich ,the White bread was not fresh. When we arrived, had to stand at bar and wait for someone to acknowledge us even though there was 2 bar staff standing talking behind the bar.

First time at 1051 GWR and definitely won't be our last. Food was lovely , we picked the high tea option & had the fish and steak & ale pie and both were delicious and decent portions.

Nice variety of sweets but not so much of savories for a vegetarian (only two options in total). The overall tea was ok, not so fresh as I was expecting. The cocktails were nice and really cheap (there was an offer £3 per cocktail). However, the room was really cold which is not great especially

When we arrived the staff seemed surprised and asked if we had booked. Apart from that the food and the service was great.
Caroline Geary - 28/12/2016
I booked this as I've been many times and had great food but this time it was very disappointing. Apart from the sandwiches everything else was stale. The scones were hard and the cakes even looked horrible.
