Casual Colour
It’s a make-up trend that’s never been so easy.
The beauty,(pardon the pun) of my job is that not only do I get to play with lots of lovely lotions and potions every day but I’m also allowed a privileged peek at products before they launch. Every now and then something comes along that I fall in love with. A touch dramatic I know, but as a self confessed beauty addict I’m fanatical about formulations.
The product of the moment has to be the Casual Colour from Mac. A pot of creamy colour these lip and cheek tints comes in eight fabulous shades and are set to be this summers’ must have item.

Easy to wear, it’s a quick fuss free item that you can either pull from your pocket for on the move touch ups or introduce into your routine. I met up with Mac Senior Make-Up Artist Lynsey Alexander for a good old catch up and so that she could show me what the brand was launching for summer.
Instantly I was hooked on the brightly coloured pots she presented. These are so on trend and come at a time when make-up should look easy, relaxed and almost underdone. Lynsey said “the trick to effortless make up is not adding too much. If you are spending more than 10-15 minutes on your make up you are probably wearing too much”.
Lynsey gave me some shades for my own kit and I have been playing with them nonstop. Lazy Sunday is one of my favourites, a baby pink crème that adds a pop of colour to cheeks and lifts the complexion. In terms of texture it is light, easily blended and doesn’t leave lips or cheeks sticky.
£17.50. Available from June at MAC counters.
