A stylish bar, restaurant and lounge, Mama San is at the heart of Glasgow’s nightlife on Bath Street. With a distinctive Asian cartoon-inspired interior by hip New York designers Omnivore, Mama San certainly looks like the coolest kid on the block and has the cooking skills to back it up. It may be open to 3am seven nights a week but the Asian fusion food is just as big a draw as the late night cocktails and top DJs who keep the party jumping until the early hours.
Modern Asian
Mama San’s location in Glasgow’s city centre means that its creative Asian fusion menu appeals to workers on their lunchtime break as much as it does to night owls. Particularly popular at lunch are the Bento boxes which allow customers to mix and match from a selection of curries, salads and dim sum to suit their own tastes. Japanese, Thai and Chinese dishes are at the heart of Mama San’s menu but the speciality chefs produce food which comes from all over Asia. Whether you want some Japanese sushi, a Vietnamese beef and noodle broth or a dish of nasi goreng, Malaysia’s most famous dish, the Mama San chefs will know how to rock your wok. Mama San is on Glasgow’s Bath Street but a couple of dishes could quickly convince you that you’ve been transported to Bangkok.
