You will find Corinthian in what must be one of the city's most impressive buildings. In what was once the headquarters of the Union Bank of Scotland, the safes now guard the outstanding wine collection and dining takes place amongst marble floors, grand pillars and stunning cornicing. The menu is designed to suit all tastes (Twice Baked Mull Cheddar Soufflé, Glazed Oriental Pork Belly with Steamed Pak Choi, Roast Rump of Ayrshire Lamb are just a selection). Boasting two bars and two club nights, Corinthian hopes to keep you entertained. After dinner cocktails in Glasgow’s only late night piano bar might be just the ticket or you might be tempted to sample big name DJ’s in another room. This is a truly imposing experience, one to visit as much for the architecture as the food and for the considerable advantage of not having to brave the rain to find some decent music later on.
