Bo Bar

Having opened in a blaze of publicity thanks to a nude but tasteful photo shoot, bobar has since settled a little more gently into its home in the Hilton. It’s a carefully designed space that uses lots of wood, slate and even wall-mounted rocks to help to balance its urban location with a more natural, organic feel. A decking patio area is popular for people watching in the summer months. Just as the interior combines different influences so does the wide-ranging menu which travels from platters of Scottish cheese to bento boxes via pasta, gourmet sandwiches and Thai curries. As well as the food, the cocktail list is a big draw at bobar. Freshly invented new concoctions are as popular as the time-served classic mixes here. Incidentally, a picture of the famous photo shoot still hangs on the walls but rest assured that you don’t need to be in the buff to drink a beer in bobar these days.
