A bar/restaurant with style AND substance. Listen to the latest tunes in the upstairs bar surrounded by dark polished wood, neutral walls and subtle lighting. Admire the very trendy Japanese manga inspired art and peruse the impressive cocktail list. Downstairs in the restaurant a window opens to the kitchen so you can watch the chefs prepare Soba’s excellent Asian-Fusion cuisine, but you’ll probably prefer to just lounge on the giant cushioned seats and enjoy the atmosphere. The menu is extensive and features a range of dishes from across Asia to satisfy most palates. Pad Thai and nasi goreng sit alongside sushi, Thai steak burgers. Somewhat more unusually for Asian-Fusion restaurants those with a sweet tooth are also well catered for, look out for Balinese black rice pudding and coconut chocolate brownies.
